Spicy Sports is an independent company, locally owned and operated right here in BC! Our commitment to friendly service really comes direct from our owners. Here at Spicy we try to create a unique and positive atmosphere in store, and are proud to offer a genuine British Columbia experience.

Here at Spicy Sports, we are proud of our experienced and certified technicians. Our staff has expertise in Alpine Skiing, Snowboarding, Snowshoeing, and Ski-touring. We all speak fluent English, but some also speak French, German, Spanish, Japanese, and Irish!

We all love to ski and snowboard in Whistler so please ask us to share their knowledge and passion for the mountains. Feel free to visit either store and let us help you with your Ski, Snowboard, and Bike needs.

President

Isshin is a true local and has been skiing in Whistler since he was old enough to clip into his skis. If it is local knowledge that you are after, Isshin is the man! Isshin has been working at the family Shop SPICY since day one. Isshin also excels on ice and is a star member of the local hockey team.

Village Store Manager

Nico is from France and was only supposed to do 1 season, and that was 5 years ago. He now calls Whistler his permanent home. Before he arrived in Whistler, he travelled all around the world as an outdoor summer camp leader with teenagers at risk, developing life survival skills in the outdoors. He was also a motocross athlete and fell in love with mountain biking and skiing during his first season here. He has a very positive outgoing personality and that is what we appreciate on and off the hill. Pop into the Village shop to say hi!

Tuning Centre Manager

Jack is the Scotsman at Spicy, and the newest member of the Team. He came to Whistler to enjoy his passion for mountain biking and Snowboarding. While Whistler is known for some of the best terrains, Jack spends most days lapping the bike park or enjoying the Whistler outdoors. In the winter you can find him spending time exploring on his snowboard.

Sales & Marketing Cordinator

Mikey is a proud Canadian from Toronto that moved to Whistler to get into the Winter and Summer Sport Industry. Alway a happy, go guy looking to make the staff as well as guests have the best time! Background being from family business back in Toronto, Mikey found himself a job at Spicy also local family business which is apart of the reason he's enjoys the atmosphere Spicy Offers!

Operations Manager

Jordan is our resident Kiwi, who developed his passion for mountain biking and skiing in the Southern Alps of New Zealand. His knowledge of bikes is hard to beat, and in the winter Jordan is a fastidious tester of skis. If you want to know which of our skis are best for the conditions on any given day, Jordan will always have some first-hand knowledge to share!

Blackcomb Store Manager & Head Mechanic

Simon is one of the longest-working family members at Spicy. His experience over the many years has earned him a reputation for being a very knowledgeable bike mechanic in the mountain bike world. He has worked with many different brands and World Cup teams. His passion for mountain biking is in his blood.

Blackcomb Store Assistant Manager

Yaoki has been living and working in Whistler for over a decade! He and his family now call this place home. When not racing around the mountain with his kids, Yaoki is a big fan of the Back-country and always brings back awesome photo’s to make us jealous!

Sales & Marketing Advisor

Will is a proud resident of Canada but he has experienced winter seasons in Japan, New Zealand, Australia and France before settling here in Whistler. Whether touring in the back-country or lapping the Whistler Parks, Will knows he has found the right place to call home.

Our History

Spicy opened its first store in the fall of 1992  at the base of Blackcomb mountain in the Le Chamois Hotel. Spicy now has two convenient locations offering only the best service on the west coast! Our shops are located near the bases of Whistler & Blackcomb

Whistler Village: Rainbow Building – main bus & taxi loop, a 2 minute stroll to the Village Gondola’s!
