What is it?
Our High Performance Ski & Snowboard option is our equivalent of demo-level equipment. They’re retail quality, carefully handpicked for Whistler Blackcomb’s conditions.
Is there a difference in quality between High Performance and Demo equipment?
No, there’s no difference. High Performance is just our branding for this level of equipment.
Who should be choosing this option?
Anyone! Our High Performance fleet features skis and snowboards for all ability levels. First-time goers to people who call the mountain home will be able to find equipment that suit their needs.
High Performance vs. Sports Rentals?
It really depends on what you are looking to get out of your equipment. Our Sports Rentals are our standard, rental specific gear. Budget-friendly and will get you around the mountain, though equipment choice is limited solely to the rental brand.
With our High Performance option, you’ll have access to a wide selection of popular brands.
Skis: Atomic, Blizzard, Head, Nordica, Rossignol, Volkl, Zag
Snowboards: Head, Salomon, K2, Nitro
Swapping
We encourage our customers to try a variety of equipment throughout their rental period.
Free Swap within the same equipment type (skis->skis, snowboard->snowboard
One Free Switch between skis and snowboard, with a small fee for subsequent switches.
While we don’t offer demo-to-buy options, this flexibility gives you the chance to try a variety of skis and snowboard while on the lookout to purchase.
